Mindfulness is often spoken of as a meditation practice or a way of living more peacefully. Naturally, many questions arise. What exactly is mindfulness? Is it a modern lifestyle trend? Is it easy or difficult to practice?
Can you recall a moment when anger took control—and later left behind regret? Take a pause. Most of us can remember at least one such incident. A sharp word spoken. An action taken in haste.
Mindful breathing is one of the simplest yet most effective mindfulness practices. It requires no special preparation and very little time, yet it has the power to bring the mind back to the present and restore clarity.
Mindfulness is not limited to sitting meditation or formal practices. More fundamentally, it is a way of living—of bringing conscious awareness into whatever we do.
Often, an invisible mental barrier stops us from making even small changes in our daily routine. The mind quickly steps in with its most familiar excuse: “No time.”
The mind has a fascinating nature—it cannot remain idle. At every moment, thoughts are flowing continuously. Some are pleasant, some disturbing, some related to the past, and others tied to hopes or worries about the future. Whatever occupies the min
When we sleep well, the body repairs itself, emotions settle down, and the mind resets. In fact, there is no medicine more powerful—or more freely available—than a deep, sound sleep.
Every human being is enveloped by five layers of covering, known in Vedānta as koshas. The word kosh means a sheath or covering
Gratitude isn’t just about being polite—it’s about noticing and appreciating the small things people do for us every day. Think about how good it feels when someone genuinely thanks you. That same good feeling spreads when you thank others, whether i
Some days feel messy right from the start. You wake up with many things to do, but no clear order. You tell yourself you’ll manage as the day goes on—but by evening, time feels lost and important things remain undone.
Ever notice how the moment you get a small cut or bruise, your attention instantly zooms in on it? Weirdly enough, your body starts healing faster just because you’re aware of it.
Confusion often appears when you’re learning who you are, what matters to you, and where you want to go. It’s a sign that your mind is thinking and changing. But if confusion is ignored or pushed away, it can start to feel heavy and tiring.
Have you noticed this? You’re studying but also checking your phone. You’re eating but watching something. You’re talking to someone, but your mind is somewhere else. We often call this multitasking, but most of the time it’s just the mind jumping ar
We’ve all been there—running late, rushing out the door, heart racing, blaming traffic, shoes, or the universe. But let’s be honest: when someone else shows up 30 minutes late without a message, it’s annoying. Now imagine how it feels when you’re the
Prayer doesn’t have to sound serious or complicated. Think of it like a quiet, honest conversation with God—something you can do anytime, anywhere. You don’t need perfect words. You just need honesty. In that silence, your heart actually speaks the l
Think about this. A friend promises to help you practise for the school play. You clear your time, rehearse your lines, and wait… but they don’t show up. Hours later, a text arrives: “Sorry, got busy.” It hurts, doesn’t it? Not just because the plan
Many parenting conflicts arise not because parents lack care, but because they apply the right response at the wrong age. A child’s needs change with development. When this change is not understood, even well-meant guidance feels ineffective.
Self-esteem is a child’s inner sense of worth—how they feel about themselves when no one is praising or criticising them. It is not fixed, and it is not the same as confidence in a particular skill. A child may perform well and still feel unsure insi
Raising a child is much like running a relay race. No one runs the entire distance alone. The baton keeps moving—from grandparents to parents, from teachers to mentors, from friends to society. Each person adds something subtle yet lasting to a child
